SupermarketDrawings, India Inks
Aside from my drawings of animals, I decided to work on a satirical series. I wanted to use humour to point out what the capitalist society wants to make you believe: “you are what you buy”.
I therefore simply mixed one brand’s with another’s packaging. These hybrid products are meant to surprise and hopefully are seen as a joke on the companies. I imagine the bureaucrats in a meeting, imaging all the products we consume such as candy smelling shampoos or toothpaste that tastes like jam. Sometimes it feels like they are having a laugh and asking us to pay for the absurd. That’s why I decided to push their way of thinking to an extreme, and imagine irrational products. These drawings are present all around Paris, printed 1,8 meters high, to make the message very clear.
The series still continues to grow.
